Privacy notice for candidates

This notice explains how My English Sister (SARL, Lyon) uses the information you give us when you apply for a job.

What we collect

Your contact details, date of birth, where you live, your right to work in France, your availability, experience and language levels, and, if you choose to send them, your photo, CV and video. If we move forward, we also collect references and the documents needed for your contract.

Why we use it

To assess your application, contact you, match you with families and, if you are hired, prepare your contract. We use it because you asked to apply (pre-contractual steps) and, for the photo, video and WhatsApp group, because you agreed.

Who sees it

Only our recruitment team. If your application is successful, we share a short profile (first name, photo, experience and a short description) with the families you are matched with. We never sell your data.

Our service providers store data for us under contract and within the European Union: Supabase (database and files, Frankfurt), Vercel (website hosting) and Brevo (emails).

The map of open roles is loaded from OpenStreetMap, which receives your IP address to send the map images. Role locations on the map are approximate.

How long we keep it

If we do not hire you, we delete your application 12 months after our decision, unless you ask to stay in our talent pool. Talent pool members are asked every 2 years whether they want to stay. If you are hired, your file becomes your employee file and is kept as required by employment law.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw your consent, at any time by writing to jobs@myenglishsister.com. You can also complain to the CNIL (cnil.fr).
